setSimpleBluetoothListener

public void setSimpleBluetoothListener(SimpleBluetoothListener simpleBluetoothListener)

Sets a simple bluetooth listener for this service. Use this in your activity to get back the read data.

Parameters:

simpleBluetoothListener - the new simple bluetooth listener

setInputStreamType

public void setInputStreamType(BluetoothUtility.InputStreamType type)

Sets the input stream type for reading data from the bluetooth device.

Parameters:

type - the InputStreamType, can either be Normal or Buffered.

initializeSimpleBluetooth

public boolean initializeSimpleBluetooth()

Method that must be called to set everything up for this service.

sendData

public void sendData(java.lang.String data)

Sends data to the connected device.

Parameters:

data - The string of data to send.

sendData

public void sendData(int data)

Sends data to the connected device.

Parameters:

data - the int to send.

scan

public void scan(int requestCode)

Starts the device dialog to get a device to connect to.

Parameters:

requestCode - the request code for the intent. Use this to check against in OnActivityResult.

scan

public void scan()

Performs a scan of devices directly and does not launch the device dialog. If you want to receive found devices then you need to register the FoundDeviceReceiver in the activity and you also need the FoundDeviceReceiver.FoundDeviceReceiverCallBack.

cancelScan

public void cancelScan()

Cancels the ongoing scan started by scan()

connectToBluetoothDevice

public void connectToBluetoothDevice(java.lang.String macAddress)

Connect to the bluetooth device knowing only the macAddress.

Parameters:

macAddress - the mac address of the device. If this isn't valid, it won't connect.

connectToBluetoothDevice

public void connectToBluetoothDevice(android.bluetooth.BluetoothDevice device)

Connect to a generic bluetooth device.

Parameters:

device - Bluetooth device representing the device.

createBluetoothServerConnection

public void createBluetoothServerConnection()

Creates a bluetooth server on this device that awaits for a client to connect.

connectToBluetoothServer

public void connectToBluetoothServer(java.lang.String macAddress)

Connects to a bluetooth server set up on another device.

Parameters:

macAddress - the mac address of the server device. If this isn't valid, it won't connect.

connectToA2DPDevice

public void connectToA2DPDevice(java.lang.String deviceName)

Connects to an A2DP device.

Parameters:

deviceName - the name of the device to connect to.

makeDiscoverable

public void makeDiscoverable(int duration)

Makes the device discoverable to other devices for a certain amount of time.

Parameters:

duration - the duration length in seconds.

endSimpleBluetooth

public void endSimpleBluetooth()

Ends all connections and unregister the receiver.

getBluetoothUtility

public BluetoothUtility getBluetoothUtility()

Gets the used bluetooth utility.
