I like that the iOS PASSWORDS apps help me to keep passwords safe, monitoring the dark webs for data leaks and compromises and advising me accordingly what passwords to amend or change immediately, giving me the option to go to the affected websites, and finally allowing me to amend to my satisfaction, the NEW Strong Passwords it does suggest.** I would definitely encourage iOS users to make greater use of the inbuilt iOS PASSWORD feature. ** I tend to make extensive use of both this app, as well as the equivalent Google Password Manager built into Google Chrome as my family ONLY have iPhones & IPad Minis & WINDOWS Laptops.

Well, frankly I am missing Keychain I got so used to it and its foibles. It took me a while (after the iOS Update) to realise what had, in fact, actually happened I am now getting used to Passwords which still implements/supports AKV (Apple Keychain Verification) for the small number of Apps that implement it (Trading 212, Binance, and one other). AKV is absolutely brilliant much more soohisticated than Google or Microsoft Authenticators which are crude by comparison IMO So all in all Well Done .I am really enjoying iOS 18 but having trouble getting used to the changes in Calendar

Since the update, I have tried to get into a webpage for my GP surgery, that I set up a Face ID automatic log in so I am not having to constantly input my password as I use it quite frequently. When I used this today, a message popped up saying This password has appeared in a data leak, which puts this account at high risk of compromise. You should change your password immediately and a suggestion that Apple can change my password. I contacted my GP surgery and they had had no reports of any data leaks so I can only presume this is down to the update and the app that was installed along with it. But why would Apple tell me that the password that I set up in my settings, has been leaked? And why do I need an app for this when key-chain and my settings were sufficient enough. Can I trust this now?
