Make and receive calls with the Phone app. Phone calls, FaceTime audio calls and FaceTime video calls all in one place. Choose a new unified layout that brings together your Favourites, Recents and Voicemails Favourites offers one-tap shortcuts for calls and messages to your most important contacts. Recents displays recent conversations and missed calls. Search for previous calls, transcribed voicemails and contacts using a broad range of search criteria. Voicemail Summaries powered by Apple Intelligence appear in-line with missed calls and help surface the most important information. Keypad search lets you quickly find and call existing contacts by typing in their name or number with the alphanumeric keypad. Contact Posters let you customise exactly how you appear when you give someone a call. Choose from various treatments for photos, Memoji and your name. Record live calls or FaceTime audio calls from the Phone app and review the transcripts in the Notes app. When you start a recording, the Phone app automatically announces that the call is being recorded. Conference calling with up to 5 people.* Visual Voicemail offers a written transcript of your voicemails. Save Visual Voicemail messages as notes or voice memos, or share them using Messages, Mail or AirDrop.* Live Voicemail lets you see a real-time transcription as someone is leaving you a message and you can pick up the call if its something you want to address in the moment. Custom voicemail greetings. Automatic Mic Mode picks the right Mic Mode for you. Voice Isolation blocks out ambient noise and highlights your voice. Wide Spectrum will leave ambient noises unfiltered, allowing your voice and all the sounds around you to be heard. Text responses make it easy to send a response in a single tap when you cant take a call. Use suggested replies or create your own custom text responses. Remind Me Later helps you remember to return calls you cant take at the time. Ask Siri to make calls, return calls and check your voicemail. Hold Assist lets the Phone app wait on hold for you and alerts you once a live agent is available. Call Screening lets you screen incoming calls from unknown numbers. Your phone will pick up the call for you and ask for a name and reason for the call before the phone even rings. Silence Unknown Callers gives you the option to automatically send unknown numbers to voicemail. Your phone will only ring for people in your contacts, recent outgoing calls and Siri Suggestions. Blocked Contacts allows you to identify unwanted callers and blocks phone and FaceTime calls from those numbers. A range of ringtones and vibrations allows you to choose distinct alerts for certain people. Wi-Fi Calling lets you make or receive a phone call on a Wi-Fi connection, so you can stay connected in areas with little or no mobile coverage.* Announce Calls gives you the option to hear the name or phone number of the person calling you even when youre not looking at your device. Dial Assist automatically determines the correct international or local prefix when dialling. Call Waiting allows someone to call you while youre already on another call.* Call Forwarding relays calls made to your number to another number that you specify.* Apple Watch Features: Make and answer phone calls straight from your wrist. When you hear or feel the call, send it to voicemail, answer using your iPhone or send a message. While youre on a call, adjust the call volume, use the keypad or even switch the call to your iPhone. I absolutely truest love this app since I have WhatsApp and sometimes the calls dont work on that but they always work on this app. I wouldve given it a 5 star rating but I didnt because I have something that I would like them to add. All they have to do is when you are on keypad it doesnt save who you have recently called using that and it rages ages to type in the number; so if they could add it so that on the bottom it shows who you called and when then I will rewrite this review and it will have 5 stars. Overall I love the app and would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Right, so voicemail transcript nearly got me in trouble with my missus tonight.Left my phone on the bed to have a shower and came back to a miss call and what looked like a text message from someone which read Thought It It's hopefully sexy to give me a call. My number is ******.My heart almost stopped and I nearly well and truly did something unthinkable in the underwear department.Who was this person and how did they get my number as I have not had it that long?I felt like I had no choice but to tell my wife in case she had already seen it on my phone and I needed her to know that I had no idea who this person was.Having justified myself but still weary that I had not satisfied her trust I went back to the call list on my phone where I found a brand new voicemail from the unidentified caller.I opened the VM upon which I saw the transcript which had come up on my Home Screen.With my hand shaking I pressed speaker and played the voice messageIt was from an estate agent regarding a property Im trying to sell and the transcript hadnt read the voice properly.Needless to say I am a little cross as I thought I had somehow entered into a secret affair that I was not aware of thus almost jeopardising my marriage.Suffice to say I would like whoever is responsible for the transcript idea to take a good hard look at themselves in the mirror before going back and analysing their mistake and somehow putting it right.I thank you x

One of the worst features of an I phone

This phone dialler makes phone calls a misery. The amount of times I have been on a call and it has put the person I am speaking to on hold and rang someone totally random from my contacts is ridiculous. I cant think there is anyone who has ever been half way through a conversation and thought hold this Im going to ring someone else!? I try locking my screen during a call but it still manages to unlock and start pressing numbers. Also why does it need to be so awkward to answer a call? I press the green button and then another screen comes up making me slide across the screen before it answers. Try doing this when you are outside and theres a slight hint of moisture in the air!? All I want is a simple basic phone dialler, that is all.

Since we can have two SIMs on the iPhone, it would be useful to have a possibility to choose a number we want to make a call from right before making a call, instead of editing it in the contact information view. Also, there is no need for separate Contacts app anymore as this is a part of this app already.
