Truly the iPhone defining web browser. Fast, responsive and easy to use. But, when i come across a website that has more ads than content, Safari stops loading the content to try and keep up with loading all the ads. For example, if i visit a webpage that has a very long article where between each paragraph an ad is placed, the webpage can simply stop loading somewhere towards the middle of the article. The phone will get warm and the webpage will refresh automatically. Using Reader mode doesn't help because Safari can't load the text past the point of "too much to load" Frustrating, perhaps. I tent to avoid websites like this but sometimes they are the only place where i can get the information i am after. The need for patience and hoping the full page will load up after several refresh attempts is a must.

I absolutely love Safari for countless reasons! One reason is its incredible design. I love the bottom Tab Bar on iPhone because it feels more modern and natural to me. The ability to create a new tab by a single swipe is intuitiveness at its finest. I understand that some users dont like the Tab Bar being at the bottom, but it can be changed back to the top. I also love the design on iPad and Mac because its consistent between the two. Speaking of consistency, the rounded corners make using Safari a joy because it fits in with the rest of Apples design trends. There are also countless amazing features that I couldnt see myself living without. For example, the customisable Start Page significantly increases my productivity and its a great warm welcome into the app. Im also in love with Tab Groups. I utilise the feature heavily and I dont know what I would do without it. However, Safaris unparalleled commitment to user privacy and security alone makes it a great alternative to other browsers such as Chrome. Not only can it block trackers, but it can also report back to you what trackers it has prevented, which is incredibly useful. Overall, I strongly believe that Safari should be used by more users as their main browser!

Ive used Safari on various platforms for years and every now and then someone has come along and told me Chrome is better, but my response has been that Safari is just fine. However recently there are many websites (including my own) that either wont open at all, or wont load linking data, or load exceptionally slowly. Ive spent some time trying to investigate this and made cache, security and pop up blocker changes as advised but nothing helps and frankly I am sick of trying to fix something that used to work! I mentioned these problems to someone and they told me they had all the same issues with Safari and switched to Chrome, which was working well. So I finally made the switch and am so relieved that it works without any issues. I dont know what is going wrong with Apple - I have the same issues with their Mail App and have had to switch to something else for my emails to load correctly. Having bought MacBook Airs and Pros, iPads and iPhones for as long as they have been available, Ive finally come to the conclusion that enough is enough, theres something wrong with Apple products these days and the way they have started to block you from upgrading them is shameful. So good riddance Apple.
