Classroom is a free service for schools, non-profits and anyone with a personal Google Account. Classroom makes it easy for learners and instructors to connect inside and outside of schools. Classroom saves time and paper, and makes it easy to create classes, distribute assignments, communicate and stay organised.
Classroom is designed to help teachers create, collect and mark assignments paperlessly, including time-saving features like the ability to automatically make a copy of a Google Document for each student. It also creates Drive folders for each assignment and for each student to help keep everyone organised.
Students can keep track of what's due on the Assignments page and begin working with just a click. Teachers can quickly see who has or hasn't completed the work, and provide direct, real-time feedback and marks from within Classroom.
With the mobile app for iOS, students and teachers can view their classes and communicate with their classmates in real time. Students can open their assignments and work on them right from their iPhone or iPad. Teachers can keep track of who has handed in work and mark the assignment at school or on the go. Students and teachers receive notifications when they have new content in Classroom, so they are always up to date.

Like the rest of Google Workspace for Education services, Classroom contains no ads, and never uses your content or student data for advertising purposes.
Permissions notice:
Camera: Needed to allow the user to take photos or videos and post them to Classroom.
Microphone: Needed to enable audio capture for recording videos to be posted to Classroom.
Photos: Needed to allow the user to attach photos or videos to Classroom. Photos or videos posted to Classroom will be stored on Google servers in order to show them in Classroom.

The app is very good for online classes and I am a student my self and I fine it is a very well working app. A lot of people argue about it because they get WORK but if you do not focus on the good side like, you can learn, you can keep busy and smart then you will also be grateful from knowing that there are some kids that could not learn and do work during the quarantine or some kids that never even went and you are lucky that you even get YOUR OWN parents to pay lots of money FOR YOU. It is a good app overall but your internet needs to be really good for it to work and some assignments dont let me submit but thats only sometimes. I highly recommend this app and stop sending negative reviews because if you have something mean to say, dont say it.

Btw...im seeing so much comments that teachers send a lot of work on thiz thing ....thats ypur teachers issue not the appp......one stated that everyone plz put one star on this app because teachers send a lot of work and i cant get a chance to play games...that is notthe apps fault teachers can send as mich wrk as they like .....YESS I am a student in grade 5 it a lot of work but overall the work is worth it pls we would of be having to do more wrk in school trying to catch-up ,sometimes you jus hv to live the way school is

Since the global pandemic google classroom has been the main source for us students to access education, but there is a Drive file issue that has no solution on how to fix it and its very frustrating for us students to be educated when there is a problem that hasnt been fixed and has been occurring since 2016. Very disappointed....
