Senior Author
Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.
For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all thingsBosch,Mission: ImpossibleandChristopher Nolanin Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.
He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watchingGilmore Girlswith a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.
His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silois the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings aboutTaylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.
Chris spent 11 years in the sports industry, racing between stadiums and traveling Europe in the fast-paced, adrenaline-filled world of live events. After more than a decade on the move, he decided it was time for a change of scenery — and found himself stumbling into the dark multiplex void of entertainment. Luckily, the popcorn is better here, and the pace, while no less demanding, comes with new opportunities to create, collaborate, and tell stories on a different kind of stage.
Chris’s all-time comfort watch is Back to the Future, a film he never tires of revisiting. When he’s not rewatching classics, you’ll likely find him with a PS5 controller in hand — whether it’s exploring post-apocalyptic worlds in Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last of Us, teaming up for co-op chaos in It Takes Two, or dropping into Fortnite for a quick battle royale fix.
On the page, he’s a dedicated reader of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels and has a soft spot for John Grisham movies and the golden age of 1990s legal thrillers. On screen, though, his guilty pleasure is disaster cinema. If there’s a bad disaster movie to be watched, Chris will be there — and as a lifelong fan of Twister, Glen Powell’s tornado-wrangling turn in Twisters was nothing short of mana from heaven.
As for TV, he gravitates toward anything with cowboys, gangsters, or sci-fi — especially if it’s streaming on Apple TV+.
