2020-P 25¢ VI WDDO-002

Description: Significant extra thickness shows on LIBERTY. Lesser extra thickness shows on USA, QUARTER DOLLAR, IGWT, and the hair details. Extra thickness decreases in strength from left to right. Close separation also shows on UNITED STATES OF, the LIBE of LIBERTY, QUARTER DOLLAR, and the designer's initials JF. The strongest separation shows on STATES.

Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Small die gouge below the right side of the E in LIBERTY. Small die gouge at the upper right side of the opening in the O in DOLLAR. Obverse Stage B: Die break in the upper opening of the R in LIBERTY. Reverse Stage A: Die chip inside the opening of the designer's initials RaM. Pre-die break depressions in the rightmost leaves. Reverse Stage B: Same as Stage A.

Description: Moderate extra thickness shows on LIBERTY, IGWT, the designer's initials, and the hair details. Notching shows on the upper left serif of the Y in LIBERTY.

Die Markers: Obverse: Thin NW/SE die scratch right of the T in LIBERTY. Die gouge above the F in OF. Small die gouge at the rim above the UN in UNITED. Small die gouge above the I in IN. Reverse: Small die chip in the leftmost leaves. Pre-die break depressions in the rightmost leaves. Die gouge in the field below the left side of the A in BAY.

Die Markers: Obverse: Abrasion from feeder finger scrapes above the Y in LIBERTY, below the ear, and behind the neck. Multiple small die gouges between the bottoms of the T and Y in LIBERTY. Die gouge above the T in QUARTER. Small die gouge SE of the designer's initials JF. Die gouge left of the upper U in TRUST. Small die gouge left of the G in GOD. Die gouge right of the R in AMERICA. Die gouge midway between the mouth and the U in UNITED. Reverse: Die chip in the upper opening of the R in the designer's initials RaM. Die cracks through the rightmost leaves. Die gouge right of the rightmost leaves. Multiple die gouges above the leaves below BAY. Die gouge below the R in the designer's initials RaM.
