The game only saves when switching areas or going to bed, so make sure to do either of those before ending your session.

You should load a previous saved game immediately to prevent losing your data! See 'How do I save or load a backup?' below. This issue can happen if you're using multiple devices with the same iCloud account - if another device doesn't have an internet connection when it first opens, it might start overwriting data in iCloud. The game makes lots of extra backups just in case, so you can always recover (as long as you've been playing with iCloud enabled and an active internet connection).

I keep losing progress on Apple TV.
Apple TV has limited local storage and must be connected to the internet to ensure your data is saved. If the device has no internet connection or iCloud is disabled/full you could permanently lose your progress. We highly recommend having iCloud enabled.

How do I save or load a backup?
Open the blue settings book in your backpack and then press 'Game Data'. To create a backup press the 'Backup Now' button, or press 'View Backups' to see a list of previous backups. While viewing the list of backups, you can press each one to inspect the data in each one, and you will have to go through a confirmation process before loading a backup. If there are errors, make sure you're connected to the internet, there's iCloud storage available, iCloud Drive is enabled, and Sneaky Sasquatch has permission to backup to iCloud in your device settings.

Can I transfer saves to a different Apple ID?
It is difficult but possible with these steps:

1. Make a backup on the original device first (See 'How do I save or load a backup?' above).
2. Sign into the new device with the original device's Apple ID.
3. Download Sneaky Sasquatch on the new device and start up the game (only play the saved-game slot(s) that you want to keep on this device)
4. Ensure all the data is correct. If there isn't any data, or something is missing, you will have to load data from an older backup (using the settings book's Game Data View Backups list). If no data comes through at all, you may have to play a 'new game' slot until the Raccoon gives you the settings book again, and from there you can access the settings book's backup list.
5. On the new device, sign out of the original account, and sign into the new Apple ID.

What happens to my data if I cancel my Apple Arcade subscription?
Your iCloud data will remain even if you aren't subscribed, and if you don't have any iCloud space your local data will remain as long as you don't uninstall the game. You can re-subscribe at any time and pick up where you left off.
