A494 crash caused delays at North Wales border

A crash on the A494 in Flintshire caused delays this morning. It happened southbound at Deeside at around 10.20am, with traffic queues stretching back to the English border.

An Inrix traffic monitoring service statement said: "A494 Southbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident from A550 Gladstone Way (Queensferry / Sandycroft Turn Off) to Lower Aston Hall Lane."

But the crash was cleared fairly quickly and the road fully reopened at 11am.

A crash on the A494 is causing delays heading into North Wales.
