Rangers star Dujon Sterling has been charged after allegedly crashing a car in Glasgow just hours after an Old Firm victory.

Police were called to a one-vehicle smash on West Graham Street in the city at around 1:25am on Sunday, January 4.

The 26-year-old right-back was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

He will appear at court in due course. It is not believed anyone was injured as a result of the incident.

A picture sent to the Daily Record shows a black SUV type vehicle which has crashed into metal railings above the M8 motorway.

The front of the car appears to have crumpled on impact and the airbags have blown inside. A large chunk of the metal safety railing is also missing.

Sterling played a key role in Rangers 3-1 victory against Celtic at Parkhead on Saturday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.25am on Sunday, 4 January, 2026, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash on West Graham Street, Glasgow.

"There were no injuries reported. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences. He's expected to appear at court at a later date."

Celtic had an early lead before Rangers managed to net three goals in the first Old Firm of the year. The victory puts Danny Rohl's side level on points with Celtic after having trailed nine points behind.

Pressure is ramping up on Wilfried Nancy and the Celtic board after the calamitous defeat.

Taking to Instagram after the match, Sterling trolled the Celtic manager, sharing a Venn diagram Nancy had previously posted.

Sterling signed for Rangers on a four-year deal in 2023 after leaving Stoke City.

The Record has contacted Rangers FC for comment.
