Molly Caudery is a British pole vaulter from Cornwall.

The 26-year-old was born in Truro, and was raised in the stunning Cornish village of Illogan, which is just two miles northwest of Redruth.

Molly won the silver medal at the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships, a year before winning her first senior title at the age of 17. She was then selected to compete for England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia, where she finished fifth.

Since then, Molly became the 2024 and 2026 world indoor champion, as well as getting a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and taking home the bronze medal at the 2024 European Athletics Championships.

The athlete was sadly left heartbroken in June when she was ruled out of competing for the rest of the season due to a spinal injury, reports the Mirror.

Molly underwent spinal surgery in June

"Emergency spinal surgery wasn't on my 2026 bingo card. And just like that, my season is over. Absolutely heartbroken to even be writing this, missing out on yet another major champs and home games," Molly previously wrote on Instagram.

She added: "The surgery was a success and my road to recovery starts today!! Really thought 2026 was going to be my year after heartbreak in Paris and Tokyo and everything in between but just wanted to add another chapter in the autobiography before the comeback lol."

As she continues to recover from surgery, Molly joined the BBC's presenting team at the European Athletics Championships on Thursday (August 13).

She previewed the evening action with Gabby Logan, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Greg Rutherford, before commentating on the women's pole vault final with Steve Backley.

Steve noted that it was likely "tough" for Molly not to be competing, with the athlete replying: "Aw I would love to be out there, but I'm enjoying this new job!"

Away from her competing and commentating ventures, fans may be surprised to learn that Molly has a famous fianc.

Molly is engaged to British high jumper Joel Clarke-Khan

Molly is engaged to fellow Team GB athlete Joel Clarke-Khan, who is known for competing in the high jump.

Joel notably won the British Athletics Championships in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2026, as well as competing at the World Athletics Championships and the Commonwealth Games.

The 26-year-old, who is from Worcester, previously came close to quitting the sport altogether, but has credited Molly as a key factor in his comeback after a series of injuries.

On training with his love, Joel previously shared: "A lot of people say how do you do it, 'Is it not intense?' There is nothing I'd rather do than the thing I love with the person that I love."
