Teenage e-bike rider fighting for life after horror Halifax crash

A teenage e-bike rider is fighting for his life after a horror crash in Halifax over the weekend, West Yorkshire Police have announced.


A teenage boy crashed into a Toyota Auris on Crag Lane, close to the Flying Pig pub, at around 8.30pm on Saturday, August 1. The boy was rushed to hospital with life-threatening leg and head injuries.


A spokesperson for the force said: "We're appealing for witnesses or video footage following a serious collision in Halifax which left a teenage e-motorcycle rider with potentially life-threatening injuries. The collision happened on Saturday night (1 August) shortly after 8.30pm, on Crag Lane, close to the Flying Pig pub.


A Toyota Auris travelling up Crag Lane and away from Halifax was in collision with the Sur-Ron e-motorcycle which was travelling down the hill towards Halifax when the collision happened. The Sur-Ron rider, a boy aged 17, was taken to hospital where he remains with serious head and leg injuries. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have video footage of it to contact West Yorkshire Police."
