Police are appealing for information after a man was repeatedly punched in the head as he walked along the seafront. It is believed to have been an unprovoked attack.
The incident occurred on Sea View Terrace in Hartlepool at approximately 12.20am on Sunday, August 9. A man was approached by another man and repeatedly punched to the head.
PC Wooldridge, from Hartlepools response team, said: This is believed to have been an unprovoked attack on a man who was simply walking along the promenade. While our enquiries have been ongoing, I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or has information or footage to get in touch.

A 24-year-old man local man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has been released on conditional bail.
