An image of a man police would like to speak to following an attack on a 12-year-old girl at a Stockton High Street bus stop has been released. Cleveland Police has said, having exhausted all other enquiries, detectives are now appealing for the public's help to identify a man.
The force has said the man may be able to help a police investigation into a report of a common assault on a 12-year-old girl. The alleged incident took place at a bus stop on Stockton High Street between 4pm and 4.40pm on Wednesday, May 27.
A spokesperson for the force said: "The man in the image is described as a white male, around 5ft 7ins tall, of stocky build and between 30-40 years old. He is described as having mousey brown hair with dark blue eyes and was wearing a waterproof jacket which was navy or black, a grey hooded top and navy jeans with black trainers which had red bits on them."
Anyone who may recognise the description of the man, or may know who he is, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 101327. Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously online at https://orlo.uk/4KsVs or by calling 0800 555 111.
