Soanes is the idiosyncratic house-museum of the great Neo-Classical architect Sir John Soane (1753 1837). The house still displays his collection of antiquities, furniture, models and paintings in the same state in which they were left at the time of his death as well as preserving over 30,000 architectural drawings and a fine library.
Soane's is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
