Latest notable planning developments in northern Lincolnshire

  • Permission sought for 30 bungalows at Epworth: North Lincolnshire Council has applied for outline permission for up to 30 bungalows on land west of Belton Road, Epworth. Three homes would be for social, affordable, or intermediate rent, while the remaining 27 are market housing. The council's application follows hot on the heels of a similar proposal for up to 60 bungalows at Barnetby le Wold. Like that, the site is currently vacant greenfield land just outside a development boundary.
  • Floodlight replacing proposed at Immingham Town FC: Floodlight improvements are proposed at Woodlands Avenue, Immingham, the home of Immingham Town FC. Permission is sought to replace a damaged floodlight mast, and alongside this, it is planned to install new LED flood light fittings to four existing masts as well. All floodlight poles will remain in the same location as now, but the light arms of each would be slightly smaller than before.
  • Major planning application made for Trent Vale village: Gleeson Homes have submitted a hybrid application for one of the Trent Vale project villages. The scheme, a rebranding of Lincolnshire Lakes, envisions six villages between the River Trent and Scunthorpe. Gleeson have sought full planning permission on land east of Scotter Road South and opposite Carl Tech International for 521 homes. It has also applied for outline permission for a new primary school, a local centre with retail, business and medical services uses, and potentially up to 600 more homes. The village would be accessed by a new roundabout on Scotter Road South. Read More: Major application submitted for latest Trent Vale village near Scunthorpe
  • 150 homes proposed on Waltham's northern edge: Outline permission is sought for 150 homes on land off Bradley Road, at Waltham 's northern edge. It is outside the village's development boundary, but the council's current inability to demonstrate a five year supply of new housing in the borough is cited. Without this, planning policy requires a presumption in favour of sustainable development, no matter a proposal's location. Read More: 150 homes proposed on northern edge of Waltham
