Smurf along to St Stephen's in fancy dress for big giveaway

A limited number of free cinema tickets are on offer for dedicated Smurfs fans along with a chance to win a special prize package

Little Smurfs and Smurfettes across Hull are in with the chance of bagging a free ticket to the brand-new Smurfs film this weekend as part of a promotion between St Stephens and Reel Cinema.

The exciting giveaway will see free tickets offered to the first 25 people who turn up to Reel Cinema at the shopping centre dressed as a Smurf between Friday and Sunday, July 18-20. People are encouraged to don their best Smurf outfit to bag a free seat and be in with a chance to win Best Dressed Smurf.

One lucky Smurf with the best costume, will take home a special prize package to enjoy a full family-fun day out at St Stephens. The prize includes a family pass for The Lost City Adventure Golf, two Combo Tickets for Fun Station, a voucher from The Entertainer, and four free cinema tickets from Reel Cinema.

Jim Harris, centre manager at St Stephens, said: We love seeing families enjoying quality time together at St Stephens, and with the Smurfs making their return to the big screen, we wanted to do something a little bit different to celebrate. Its a real family favourite and we cant wait to see little ones dress up and join in the fun to bring a bit of blue magic to the centre.

Ellis Atkinson-Selkirk, duty manager at St Stephens Reel Cinema, added: Teaming up with St Stephens for the Smurfs launch is a brilliant way for us to connect with the local community over such an exciting new release. Its been great to see so much buzz building around the launch, especially with big names like Rihanna involved, and we cant wait to see lots of little Smurfs and Smurfettes in screenings this weekend."

You could win tickets to the new Smurfs movie this weekend

The film will be released on Friday, July 18 with a voice cast including Rihanna, John Goodman, James Corden and Nick Offerman. Smurfs will see the blue team embark on a mission to save Papa Smurf from the evil wizards Razamel and Gagamel as they are joined by new friends on the way.

The 25 tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis and organisers said the competition will close once all tickets have been awarded. Full terms and conditions can be found here.

The Reel Cinema team will choose one Smurf on Friday, July 18 as their Best Dressed to be awarded with an additional prize package. Entrants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to redeem their prize.
