An Ann Summers product has been urgently withdrawn from sale due to the risk of injury. The retailer, which specialises in lingerie and adult toys, has issued a recall notice for anyone who owns the item.

The Ann Summers Remote Rotating Dildo poses a risk of injury as components can become detached during use. It is described as a dildo, approximately 6.5 inches in length, with a rotating and vibrating mechanism.

The product was sold online and in-store between September 2025 and March 2026. It carries a SKU number of 2008629 and a barcode of 5050890824779.

Two batch numbers are affected by the recall, which are 1225PSK and 3325PSK. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) said: "The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

"The product has been recalled from end users by Ann Summers. Owners are advised to stop using the product and return it - either in store or via free postal return - for a full refund."

Ann Summers has also published its own recall notice for the product. The retailer explained that the withdrawal was due to a potential fault in the internal mechanism.

The store added: "As a precaution, and in line with our commitment to customer safety, we have made the decision to recall the item."

Customers are not required to present their receipt in order to obtain a refund. Ann Summers confirms that an exchange can also be arranged instead of a refund for an item of equivalent value.

Additionally, the store is offering 20% off to affected customers on their next purchase. It stated: "Customer safety and product quality are our highest priorities.

"Recalls like this are rare and demonstrate our commitment to acting quickly and responsibly when issues are identified."

In recent weeks, a number of beauty products have similarly been pulled from shelves. Two Bondi Sands SPF products were recalled, with consumers urged to discontinue use immediately.

The OPSS stated: "The product presents a risk to health because certain batches have shown signs of separation and uneven texture. If the ingredients are not properly mixed, the SPF rating may be variable and place consumers at risk of sunburn."

The recall affected the Bondi Sands Body Lotion (120ml) with barcode 810020173420 and Hand Lotion (60ml) with barcode 810020173406.

Separately, Glow and Lovely Hydraglow Rose Enrich Serum Cream was withdrawn due to a chemical risk, stemming from incorrect ingredient listings and a failure to specify fragrance allergens. Consequently, Lajawab Foods Limited has pulled the product from sale.

The product is described as a skin cream packaged in a pink-and-white cardboard box, weighing 50g, and carrying the barcode 8961014255669.
