A man in his 20s and a teenager have been seriously injured following a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Co Donegal this evening as gardai appeal for witnesses.

The crash happened on the N13 between Bridgend and Manorcunningham in Burt at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 18.

Gardai and emergency services attended the scene, with both drivers taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.

The driver of one vehicle, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured, while the driver of the second vehicle, a man in his late teens, also sustained serious injuries.

The road remains closed to facilitate a technical examination of the scene.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm and may have witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage to come forward.
