It's been a bit of a week. So many hours from our team in the Midlands. So many articles written, so much graft from all involved. Really grateful for everyone's work and dedication. And then old Mat Kendrick steals all the glory with some solid gold opportunistic journalism. I never thought my old pal would get the royal seal of approval. I know how much Aston Villa's win meant to Mat, he's bored me with his claret and blue obsessions for so long over the last 20-odd years. He also deserves it. He's been a great mate and colleague over the years and was the first to give me a crutch of support in difficult times. The thing I love most about the video with Prince William is that Mat is completely himself. He even asked the future king for a dance in the fountains.
