Merseyside Police is investigating three reports of sexual offences in Liverpool, that they believe could be linked. On Sunday, February 22, a woman in her 20s was reportedly approached by a man in Calderstones Park who engaged in a conversation with her before hugging her and trying to kiss her.

A similar incident was reported to police on Tuesday, March 3. A different woman, also in her 20s, was approached by a man and subjected to the exact same set of circumstances.

The previous day, on Monday, March 2 a man was reported to police for "acting suspiciously" in Parklands Library, on Conleach Road, in Speke. He was allegedly inappropriately touching himself, the force said.

Police confirmed no one was harmed during any of these incidents. And, assured the public it's taking these incidents "extremely seriously."

Following an ongoing investigation, police said they believe the same person was involved in all three incidents. The force is now appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Merseyside Police described the suspect as being a white male, around 6ft tall, aged in his 60s with grey hair. During the incident at the library he was wearing a black coat with a red top underneath and white trainers.

Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: We continue to carry out inquiries into all three incidents and we believe the same male could be responsible.

I know these reported incidents will be alarming for the local community, but please be assured that we are taking each report extremely seriously and we are determined to find the suspect.

If you witnessed any of these incidents or believe you know who this person could be, then please get in touch.
