A man has been charged after a man was stabbed inside a shop in Seaforth. Merseyside Police said officers were contacted at around 6.40pm on Sunday, March 8, following reports that a man armed with a bladed weapon had attacked another man at a shop on Seaforth Road.
The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered a small puncture wound to his shoulder and later self-presented at hospital for treatment. An investigation was launched to identify and locate the suspect.
Christopher Gibson, 44, of Seaforth Road, was arrested later the same day and has since been charged with attempted Section 18 wounding and possession of a bladed article.
He has been remanded to appear at Sefton Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Tuesday, March 10).
