'I asked easyJet cabin crew for Premier League result and their reply was epic'

An Arsenal supporter was mid-flight with no Wi-Fi when easyJet cabin crew went above and beyond to hand-deliver a football-related note that left him delighted

An Arsenal supporter has heaped praise on easyJet cabin crew after desperately trying to find out how title rivals Manchester City were getting on mid-flight. Passenger Aamir was airborne while City were in action at Bournemouth - a match they needed to win to prevent handing the Gunners their first league title since 2004.

With no access to his mobile phone to check the score, Aamir turned to easyJet staff for assistance, and they swiftly delivered. "Shoutout the staff on easyJet flight 8746 into Gatwick last night," he wrote in a post. "I asked if there was any way I could find out the City result during the flight and they came through. Champions."

Sure enough, second-placed Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium, sparking celebrations for Arsenal - and Aamir - as the Gunners were crowned Premier League champions.

He shared a photograph of a printout from the easyJet crew, revealing he was at 35,000 feet with no Wi-Fi when he received the note from an easyJet Operations Senior named Ryan.

"Hello, Chelsea is currently 2-1 vs Spurs, 15 mins left," it read.

On the all-important matter, the note went on: "City game ended 1-1 meaning Arsenal Champions. Cheers."

Aamir subsequently shared a follow-up image, disclosing that he had placed the printed note in a frame to commemorate the moment.

"That's some dedication to customer service," one X user declared in response. "Dare I say, above and beyond."

A second individual was equally impressed with easyJet, writing: "As customer service goes on no frills airlines that's actually incredible!"

A third remarked: "easyJet customer service casually delivering life-changing information at 35,000 feet."

Meanwhile, a fourth X user commended: "And... I just became an easyJet customer again. See, whoever Ryan is... just opened the door to a giant customer base with a bit of top customer service. This is ridiculous, and amazing!"

Regarding his miniature photo frame concept, one of Aamir's followers suggested he might have stumbled upon a commercial opportunity.

"You should probably patent this, get it on a production line quickly and market it to Arsenal fans," they urged.

"There's an opportunity for you to make thousands out of this."
