Tommy Fleetwood had a memorable 2025 with caddie Ian Finnis by his side. The Southport golfer finally clinched his first PGA title last year and played a key role in Team Europe's Ryder Cup triumph.

Despite being one of the world's best, Fleetwood had previously held the dubious distinction of earning the most without a PGA Tour victory. His career prize money exceeded 18.5 million after numerous strong performances and near misses before his long-awaited win.

The 34-year-old's fortunes turned at the Tour Championship in August, where he won by three strokes and bagged a staggering 7.4m in prize money. His caddie, Finnis, also received a significant payout as Fleetwood ended his trophy drought.

In golf, it is customary for caddies to receive a 10 per cent share of their player's earnings. While the exact arrangement between Fleetwood and Finnis is not public knowledge, the caddie could have pocketed around 750,000 from the 7.4m grand prize in Atlanta, Georgia.

The duo have been a team since 2016 and enjoyed a standout year in 2025. At the Ryder Cup, Fleetwood won four of his five matches as Team Europe recorded a 13-15 victory on US soil.

Although Fleetwood and his teammates were not paid for their heroic performances at Bethpage Black in September, the English golfer still had a financially rewarding 12 months.

Before his Tour Championship triumph, Fleetwood bagged a 1.31m prize after finishing joint second at the Travelers Championship in June. He also pocketed around 860,000 for his third-place finish at the St Jude Championship in August.

After standout performances at the Tour Championship and Ryder Cup, Fleetwood secured another win at the DP World India Championship. In total, Fleetwood raked in 13.7m in PGA prize money, which likely resulted in his caddie Finnis earning around 1.3m.

However, Golf Monthly estimates Fleetwood's earnings were closer to 18.9m when considering bonus payments and his performances on the DP World Tour, where he finished joint-third in the annual standings. Consequently, Finnis' yearly earnings would stand at approximately 1.9m.

Fleetwood was without Finnis for part of 2024 as his caddie underwent open-heart surgery. Upon his return later that year, Fleetwood spoke about their reunion on the golf course.

"It feels nice to have had a really good round in his first week, for him more than anything. It's been great. Felt so normal," Fleetwood said. "We did a great job. Everything sort of flowed, really, today. He made a couple of great decisions, so it's like he's not been away."
