A mum who earned the unflattering title Britains most hated woman has taken swipes at her neighbours claiming they were nosey when Stacey Dooley filmed at her home.
The Strictly Come Dancing star and documentary maker visited the controversial mum for season three of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over. Stacey was there to investigate Carla's lifestyle after she was slammed on This Morning for faking depression to blag a free nose job on the NHS.
During the episode, Stacey spoke about newspaper headlines Carla is often at the centre of, and said: I think its undeniable the controversial headlines have affected [your] children.
However, speaking to Manchester Evening News, Carla revealed her neighbours, who she claimed are obsessed about her, could not help but be nosey while Stacey was staying over.
Asked about neighbourhood gossip in her hometown of Hitchin, Herts, she revealed: If I ever have film crews around, they will purposely say, 'We are cutting the hedge today.' Really? Come on.
Even when we filmed Stacey Dooley, when that happened the crew asked for half an hour's peace, and they started to cut hedges
Despite the Stacey documentary airing in 2022, Carlas disputes with her neighbours are ongoing, and her latest issue has ruined her summer evenings.
Speaking to the Mirror, she said: They burn wood every weekend starting from a Friday night always. So our summer evenings having vino in the garden is a no go.
It stinks and I have no idea why they do it. I think they are farmers, our houses go back on to a field, and I honestly think they think they own the farmers field.
And the mum-of-four joked: Maybe they burn wood for their fire but its summer so I have no idea but it is probably to p*** me off and ruin my summer vino nights chilling to music.
She said the smoke from the wood burning was horrific and that it does not help that she and members of her family suffer from asthma. And she added that the Friday routine impacts her breathing if she stays outside.
She added: I have never experienced something like this, they have even built a wood burning shed thing, its insane.
However, she concluded that she has learned to live with the issue, and she wished for a world where she could just get on with her neighbours.
She said: I think people are just rude and I dont know why everyone cant get along. I know its a free world but come on, to burn wood
There is more to life than fixing a bloody house 24/7. I do not understand the British mentality with houses, its their life, but memories last for a lifetime, a house is only bricks and water.
