Former Airline favourite Jane Boulton was overcome with emotion as she revealed her best friend is facing another heartbreaking cancer battle.

The 55-year-old, who became a household name thanks to her no-nonsense approach on the hit ITV series, fought back tears in a candid video shared with fans on social media. Speaking directly to the camera, an emotional Jane admitted she had received devastating news about one of her closest friends after believing the worst was behind them.

Holding back tears, Jane explained that her friend's cancer has returned. She said: Good evening, Jane Boulton from Airline. A quick update for those of you who have been following me for a while will also know that my closest and best friend, Mark, has been through quite a journey recently. He got diagnosed with cancer back at the end of 2025. He has been through very intense radio and chemotherapy.

We celebrated the news a few weeks ago that he had been given the all clear. Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago mark said he had similar symptoms to what he had before so he went back for another scan and unfortunately it wasn't the news we was all hoping for so unfortunately his cancer is back so he has to go through an aggressive type of treatment and surgery.

The TV star became visibly emotional as she paused several times during the clip while trying to compose herself as she said I cant say much more than this without getting upset.

Jane went on to praise her friend for remaining incredibly strong despite the diagnosis, telling followers to follow Mark and send him words of encouragement.

The emotional update prompted an outpouring of support from fans, with many flooding the comments section to send love and prayers to Jane and her friend.
