Beverley Callard has shared an update with fans

Beverley Callard has shared a candid health update with her followers as she revealed her husband John is making sure she doesn't lift a finger. The actress, who is currently appearing on I'm A Celebrity South Africa, was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in February this year and has kept fans updated since her diagnosis.

At the end of last week, she confirmed that she had undergone surgery to remove her cancer, which had been a success. But in the same update, the actress, best known for playing Liz McDonald on ITV's Coronation Street, stated that doctors had found the disease in a single lymph node.

However, Beverley has now shared an update with her online followers as her health woes coincide with a major house move. Speaking to her 261,000 followers on Instagram, the star said: "I've been resting constantly. I've had to, yesterday, John didn't let me do anything.

"Today, our furniture started to arrive. John didn't let me do anything. Hopefully, I'll be keep feeling well and get better. But I'm good, I'm good. Got the big I'm A Celebrity final on Friday which I'm very excited about, and so I've got to get myself well for that.

"In fact, I'm just about to get ready to watch it... So, that's it." Beverley is currently appearing on the pre-recorded South Africa spin-off of I'm A Celeb, but the cast will gather on Friday in front of a live audience to discover who has been crowned King or Queen of the camp.

Beverley's fans were quick to offer their support to the actress, with one saying: "Rest is definitely recovery. Sending lots of love." "Glad your resting stay positive your a strong lady . This time last year I was going through the same," commented a second.

Meanwhile, a third typed: "Sending a hug, Beverly, look after yourself & like everyone says listen to your body it knows best, I so hope you win, I'm A Celebrity, I love to watch it." "Sending love to you, hope you get good news from the Consultant," added a fourth.

Over the weekend, Beverley explained that she had been left "completely wiped out" after getting her results on Thursday. While she awaits guidance from doctors after her lymph node was sent to the United States for testing, Beverley said she was trying to keep herself busy decorating her new home in Ireland.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday night, Beverley said: "Well, just an update. You were all right, every comment, everything, all sent with love, I know. You were right. I have completely overdone it and, as you know, I got the results on Thursday, and I'm waiting for more, but I'd been decorating like crazy, doing like eight to 10-hour days just trying to get everything finished for Jon coming back. And then Friday, I was really, really tired. Today, I'm completely wiped out. I've felt shocking all day.

"I woke up and just felt as if I'd not been to sleep at all. Honestly, I feel the same, I've been back to bed a couple of times so you were all right. Everybody says to me 'Oh, Beverley, you're so strong, you're so strong.' I'm actually not!

"I'm headstrong, which is not a good thing, it's not a quality, I don't think. So it's been one of those days. Jon has just made me rest. I had a bath, which was an effort. I put my pyjamas on, which was an effort and that's it. So, hopefully I will feel better tomorrow but I feel poorly today."
