Former Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has signed up for Celebrity Race Across The World, it is reported.
It is believed the broadcaster, 71, will appear on the hit BBC show with his 26-year-old son Matthew. It will be Jeff's first reality show since leaving Gillette Soccer Saturday in 2023, a programme he presented for 29 years.
A source told The Sun: "Jeff absolutely loves a challenge and when he was approached by the BBC to take part in Celebrity Race Across The World, he went for it. He entered with his son Matt and they had a blast together.
"The BBC know its a coup to get Jeff in the competition as hes so well respected in the football world. Jeff and Matt started filming back in February alongside the other celebs."
The journalist, now one of the hosts of talkSPORT Breakfast, has already filmed his scenes, competing with other celebs including Katie Price and Peter Andres children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18.
Celebrity Race Across The World, which sees stars race across an area of the world to reach a destination using any means of transportation other than by air, has been well-received since the first series aired in 2023. Brother-and-sister team Roman Kemp and Harleymoon Kemp won the last series, which ended in December last year.
Jeff and Matthew are now set to follow in the Kemps' footsteps and appear in series four, due for broadcast this year. Father-of-three Jeff is remembered for his long stint on Gillette Soccer Saturday, and was often on duty alongside former player Chris Kamara who coined the catchphrase Unbelievable, Jeff.
The star took the role on Sky in 1994 and remained in it for nearly three decades, delivering live football scores updates every week to millions of viewers. Jeff, a Hartlepool United superfan, went on to also host Countdown on Channel 4, and fronted an ITV game show called Alphabetical.
And he joined talkSPORT as the host of the Breakfast Show alongside Ally McCoist on Mondays and Tuesdays in December 2023. He made a cameo appearance in hit Apple TV series Ted Lasso. In 2023, he was made an MBE for fundraising and campaigning for prostate cancer charities.
Speaking at the time, the celeb, who has done 34 walks in total since his maiden trek from Hartlepool, County Durham, to Wembley in London in 2016, gave an insight into the experience ahead of his then forthcoming march.
