Pop star Kylie Minogue and Quentin Tarantino left people in a tiny Welsh town gobsmacked as the superstar pair shot scenes for their new film.

She and Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction mastermind Quentin were spotted filming in the tiny town of Porthcawl in Wales this weekend, drawing big crowds. The pair were seen shooting scenes of a funeral at Newton Church. They then shot the wake at a local pub the Saltwater Inn. Later, they were both seen at a seafront bar and restaurant, where they laughed and sang together.

The singer is to return to the big screen with the legendary director also stepping in front of the camera. Welsh filmmaker Jamie Adams is also involved in the hush-hush up-coming production, with both the title and plot being very much kept under wraps.

Variety report that will again be acting in the part as fans' excitement grows. The new movie is going to be made by New York-based producers Visor Entertainment

One fan spoke of their shock at seeing Quentin in the hotel lobby in Cardiff. Helen Harvey, from Swindon, says she came across the director reading at a table with a "stack of books".

She told the BBC: "I went back to my group and said 'there's a bloke in there who looks like Quentin Tarantino'. My friend said they'd heard he was staying at the hotel so I went back just to say I love your films, I'm a big fan." She described the star as "gracious and charming".

Kylie recently teased shell be heading out for a huge tour to celebrate her 40th career anniversary.

In an interview with the Sunday Times Style magazine last month, the Australian singing legend was quizzed on whether shed be touring in celebration.

Im probably not meant to say this, but yes I am, the 57-year-old pop sensation said. In another interview with Rolling Stone, she was further questioned on when the tour might actually happen.

I mean, it might be 2027-2028, because Locomotion was 1987 in Australia. And like, the very, very end of 88 was Lucky kind of everywhere. So 2027-2028. Kylie said.

The good news comes after the release of an intimate Netflix docuseries on her life, during which Kylie spoke candidly on a number of personal topics, including IVF and her health struggles.

She first publicly battled cancer in 2005, during which she had to undergo a lumpectomy - the removal of breast tissue - before starting chemotherapy.

Kylie was given the all-clear before sadly finding out the cancer had returned years later in 2021. Speaking on why she kept the diagnosis private this time around, she shared: I was able to keep it to myself and go through that year.

I didnt feel obliged to tell the world, and actually, I just couldnt at the time, as I was a shell of a person. I didnt want to leave the house again at one point. Thankfully, I got through it again, and all is well."

An emotional Kylie noted how she had struggled to find the right time to announce her second diagnosis, especially during the success of her Grammy-winning 2023 single Padam Padam.

Padam Padam opened so many doors for me, but on the inside, I knew that cancer wasnt just a blip in my life. And I really just wanted to say what happened so I can let go of it, she explained.
