Kaye Adams has confessed that she's "enjoying having a bit of space" after her departure from BBC Radio Scotland. In February, it was reported that Kaye had been dropped from her BBC morning show following allegations about her conduct. She was alleged to have thrown a pencil at a producer and used a misogynistic slur.

It was also claimed that she "reprimanded an intern", as The Times described it. In March, the Loose Women star denied the allegations, hitting out in an Instagram post over what she described as "malicious stories".

Kaye revealed she was "heartbroken" that her 15-year tenure at the station was "being reduced to this". In June, reports then emerged that she was weighing up legal action against the BBC.

Nevertheless, Kaye doesn't appear to be letting it get to her. Asked in a recent interview whether she'd been enjoying life after leaving the station, Kaye told Best magazine that she had "lots of other projects" on the go.

She commented: "I've been busy because I've got lots of other projects on the go, so I haven't had a lot of free time.

"I've got another couple of podcasts coming up, I've got a big renovation on my house and, to be honest, I'm enjoying having a bit of space, and just being in a happier environment."

Responding to the allegations in March, Kaye said she'd been trying to "keep a dignified silence", but the "attacks" had been so persistent that they could "no longer go unchallenged".

She stated: "I categorically deny using a misogynistic slur 14 years ago and I'm horrified at its invention more than a decade later. It is absolutely not a word I would have used."

Kaye continued: "Regarding the allegation that I threw a pencil while alone in an empty studio, words fail me. I am heartbroken that 15 years of hard work and dedication to BBC Scotland is being reduced to this."

Elsewhere, Kaye has expressed her congratulations to South African dancer and fellow Loose Women panellist Oti Mabuse following her announcement that she is expecting her second child.

Oti and her husband, Marius Lepure, confirmed they have another baby on the way. She wrote on Instagram: "We thought we had our hands full already, but life had even bigger plans.

"Baby No. 2 is joining the dance party, and our hearts (and house) are about to get a whole lot fuller. #babynumber2"

Kaye also made an appearance on This Morning, where she joined hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley to share some "fantastic news".

She said: "Just before I go, I've got to say fantastic news. You might have read that Oti is expecting (baby) number two, which is absolutely wonderful. She is coming on the show live to tell us all about it. We are really, really thrilled about that."
