Made In Chelsea may look like non-stop fun and glamour - but life in the spotlight hasnt always been easy for one of its stars, 24-year-old Rebecca Collins, aka Beks - especially when it comes to love. After a high-profile and very painful split early last year from fellow cast member Freddie Knatchbull - the great-grandson of Lord Mountbatten - she tells that navigating a breakup on camera has been one of her toughest challenges yet.

Breakups are hard enough in normal life, confesses the reality TV favourite. But having it filmed adds a whole other layer of heartache, really. You dont think about the cameras at the time, but then you have to relive it all again when it airs. Its like going through it twice.

The pair, who were first introduced as a couple when Beks joined Made in Chelsea in 2024, for season 28, had already been part of the same friendship circle before romance blossomed.

Beks introduction to the show, she recalls, felt completely natural. I was already hanging out with people like Jack Taylor and Freddie, so it didnt feel forced, she explains. It was just a natural progression, especially as Freddie and I were getting closer and he was telling me he had feelings for me.

Despite fairytale beginnings, their relationship ultimately unravelled in front of viewers, something Beks admits, truly tested her resilience. Its definitely made me a stronger person, she says thoughtfully.

Normally, after a breakup, you might never see that person again. But in this situation, were still in the same circle. Weve had to go on trips together, film together You just have to learn to get on with it.

While things between the two exes have been up and down, Beks is taking everything in her stride(Image: bekscollins/Instagram )

While things between the two exes have been up and down, Beks is taking everything in her stride, she tells us confidently - and is focusing firmly on herself.

When it comes to her dating life at the moment, shes refreshingly honest. Im not dating anyone - specifically, she smiles. Im really happy and content as I am. Im quite independent, but I am also a massive lover girl!

Laughing, she adds: Im not actively looking for a boyfriend, but I do go on dates. Its more like, if something feels right, then great. While Beks might not be sliding into anyones DMs herself right now, she does tease that she has had some very interesting attention of late.

Joking that shes not a DM slider she tells us that some celebs have slid into hers - but is tight-lipped on who they might be. I dont think they would be very happy if I told you!.

Beyond her dating life, Beks has quickly become a fan favourite on the show, which follows the lives and loves of London's poshest social set.

Im very true to myself, she insists. Obviously, viewers only see a small part of our lives, but Id say Im totally the same person on and off screen.

Shes also loved letting fans into more of her world recently, particularly when filming scenes at her family home. That was really special. Having my mum on the show, filming with my horses, thats such a big part of my life. I think people got to see a different side of me.

Growing up around horses played a huge role in shaping her life, and Beks family still own four. Theyve always been my biggest passion, she shares. I used to compete in eventing, and its something I would love to revisit in the future.

These days, her focus has shifted slightly, however, with wellness becoming a major priority. After studying Philosophy at Bristol University, Rebecca took an unconventional path, heading to Bali, to train as a yoga instructor.

I wasnt sure what I wanted to do after uni. I worked in property for a bit, but it wasnt for me. Going to Bali and doing my yoga training was amazing.

Despite the pressures of reality TV, Beks says shes been overwhelmed by the positive response shes had from viewers since her small-screen debut - particularly when it comes to how she handled her breakup from Freddie.

Ive had so many lovely messages, honestly, she says. People are saying theyre proud of how I dealt with things. I think a lot of girls can relate to what I went through.

There are always going to be a few trolls, she shrugs. But honestly, I feel really lucky, most of the feedback has been so kind.

Friendships have also played a huge role in her journey, she admits. I think it is difficult to manage friendships on the show, because a lot of the time you're in quite intense situations.

She added: Sometimes you fall out with people and bicker about trivial things sometimes, but our friendships are really strong. They mean a lot to me.

Beks also shares a close bond with co-star Alice Yaxley, and recalls one of her most emotional moments on the show: finding out Alice was expecting a baby, with fiance Sam Vanderpump.

The Made In Chelsea stars announced they were expecting their first child together last year, just months after they shocked castmates by announcing their engagement.

That was so special, Beks says. Its such a big life moment, and the fact we got to capture it I cry every time I watch it back!
