Perez Hilton has been rushed to the hospital over a self-harm incident. The former Celebrity Big Brother star reportedly worried fans with concerning behaviour while broadcasting live on TikTok.
Local police are said to have received "multiple" emergency calls over the welfare of the 48-year-old. Clips taken from the alarming TikTok live show Perez covered in what appears to be blood while also brandishing a knife.
Local police officers are said to have spoken with family members at the scene and later confirmed that Perez had been inside the property alone before they decided to "tactically disengage" while reviewing the situation.
A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Sheriff's office said: "In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritise de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication.
"Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilising crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimise the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public."
It later emerged that Perez had been "safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention."
Officers from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals stayed at the scene and were "providing support and resources to the individual's family."
The video, which the Mirror are choosing not to show, has since been removed from the platform, and Perez's TikTok account has been suspended by the platform.
In a statement to TMZ, Perez's spokesperson said: "We are aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client, Perez Hilton.
"At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him. Our primary concern is Perez's health and well-being, as well as his family's well-being. Until we have confirmed information, we will not speculate or comment further.
"We appreciate everyone's concern and ask that his privacy be respected during this time." Video footage from local news outlets shows several sheriff patrol cars stopped in the neighbourhood where Perez lives, with the street closed off by yellow tape.
After the livestream many shared their support for Perez on social media. Trisha Paytas penned: "The Perez Hilton video is so upsetting. I hope hes okay. I hope his children are okay. Crashing out on the internet, whether its fake or real - is a cry for help."
Many also called out TikTok bosses for their delayed response, after taking 30 minutes to suspend his account - despite thousands of viewers watching on in horror.
"Genuinely think TikTok should be held liable in some way for allowing that Perez Hilton feed to last 30 minutes. Absolutely insane," a social media user demanded.
"This is insanely triggering, another agreed. It's so unfair that TikTok didnt do something quickly enough, given the young people who use that app.
A follower fumed: "This is how you know the TikTok moderation system is just AI because how did Perez Hilton not get banned the minute he went on that live he was on live for 30 minutes until they banned him."
In June this year, Perez told his online followers that he was moving to Miami after three and a half years of living in Las Vegas. "God told me to move to Miami," he said during a previous hospital admission. He went on to add: "Manifesting abundance, manifesting just family, peace, good times.
"Manifesting health, good health that's what's most important." Perez found fame in the Noughties as a celebrity blogger, before venturing into mainstream media on shows such as Celebrity Big Brother.
The Mirror has approached a spokesperson for both Perez and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's office.
