EXCLUSIVE: Peter Andres priority in toxic feud after son Junior's 'powerful' statement

Proud dad and musician Peter Andre has reacted to his son Junior's recent statement to announce his 'quiet season' as he takes a step back from music for a brief period

Peter Andre has shared his pride over his son Junior for taking time away from music in favour for a "quiet season", after Junior shared a statement on his social media.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, shares son Junior, 20, and daughter Princess, 18, with his ex-wife Katie Prince who he recently hit out at in an explosive statement regarding their children's living arrangements. Peter's statement came after Katie had called for truce talks after she hit at out Peter and his management The CAN Group as she claimed she had been 'banned' from taking part in Princess' docuseries, The Princess Diaries.

After Peter's statement in which he said "I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family", the ex couple's daughter Princess spoke out. She said when quizzed about her parent's dynamic on Snapchat: "To be honest it doesn't affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don't even have any memory of them being together."

Meanwhile, Peter and Katie's son Junior has remained silent on the matter. But, last week Junior posted a statement about his decision to opt for a "lowkey" stint in his life.

He wrote on Instagram: "Sometimes the most quiet seasons are the most powerful ones. I've been moving in silence, learning, growing, making moves you haven't seen yet. I think about you all more than you know....and when the times right, you'll understand why I've been so lowkey.

"My time is coming and when it does, we're all going up together."

Now, in Peter's exclusive column for new magazine the singer and dad, who also has three children with wife Emily, shared his pride over his son.

Peter wrote: "For those who saw Junior's post on his socials, he said, the 'quiet seasons are the most powerful ones,' and I know he means it.

"After music success, he stepped back to be a real teenager, really. Plus, he moved in with his girlfriend and has just been enjoying life. Knowing J, he'll show the world what he's got. He's a talented songwriter.

"As his dad, of course I'll always offer work advice, but he does his own thing and I love that. He will do things in his own time."

It comes after Peter shared a bombshell statement about his ex-wife Katie Price. It read: "For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.

"The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.

"In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.

"Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months."

Following his claims, a spokesperson for Katie told the Mirror: "Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn't feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she's dealing with this the right way and it's now in her lawyers hands. Kate will no longer be gaslight [sic] and bullied as she once was..."
