- Comedian Peter Kay had to be "bundled off stage" during his gig in Birmingham on Saturday, with police evacuating the venue after a "suspicious bag" was found.
- Omar Majed, 19, has been charged over an alleged bomb hoax, which led to the event - attended by almost 13,000 people - being cancelled.
- Majed allegedly "barged" his way into the arena without a ticket and was alleged to have indicated to a police constable and others that a bomb may have been left at the venue.
- He was removed from a magistrates' court today due to his outbursts during proceedings.
- Majed shouted that the proposed bail conditions for him were "not acceptable" he was taken down to the cells before the end of the hearing.
- He was taken away part-way during the hearing, and is next due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 1 June. The teen gave no indication of a plea to a single charge of communicating false information to police, contrary to the Criminal Law Act.
- Majed, of Saltley, Birmingham, was repeatedly asked by District Judge Michelle Smith to be quiet and to continue sitting down, but refused.
- Adjourning the case after submissions from the prosecutor and defence lawyer, Lauren Clark, District Judge Smith also refused a bail application.
- West Midlands Police have since confirmed "nothing suspicious was found" during searches of the venue.
- Members of the audience said they received no explanation during the evacuation. A member of the production team reportedly went on stage at around 8.45pm to inform the crowd that the show would not be continuing.
