Im A Celeb winner Sam Thompson revealed his struggles with Tinnitus - joining other celebs Barbara Streisand, Sylvester Stallone and Chris Martin, who are all sufferers.
The reality star, 33, explained he has been diagnosed with the condition, which causes a ringing, hissing or buzzing in your ear that doesnt come from an outside source.
Sam told presenter Fearne Cotton on her podcast Happy Place: Tinnitus is savage. I dont know if anyone else has got tinnitus here, but like if you try and sleep and the ringing, its in your skull. And youre like, This cant be right.
He explained he went to an ear specialist who diagnosed him with the condition.
He literally went, Theres nothing, theres quite literally nothing you can do. And I went, But it wont stop.
Sam, who was crowned Jungle King in 2023, suffers with anxiety and panic attacks and said his Tinnitus worsens if hes struggling with his mental health.
At night, I get more anxious at night, and then at night, its like a drill in your ear.
The Made In Chelsea star has been publicly open about his health and was diagnosed with ADHD in 2023 and last year revealed he is autistic.
Hes out, Im autistic - we all knew it, he told Standard. It hasnt changed anything, every time I get these things its just a bit more of the weight lifted off my shoulders and you know yourself a little bit more.
Sam has always advocated for being open about your mental health and has therapy to deal with things.
He told Mirror of his therapist: Shes amazing, shes a savage she'll turn around and tell me everything that's wrong! Shes just like, You're wrong there, I sometimes need that because Im like, No, Im right!
I actually think you don't always need to see a therapist - sometimes you just need to see a friend, or a family member, or a colleague. Talking is the therapy, not so much the therapist.
Sam credits best pals Pete Wicks and James Dunmore as some of his nearest and dearest he turns to in times of crisis.
"I've got this friend of mine, James Dunmore, and I'll be like 'Hey man, we're going for a Nando's, on me,' and he goes 'Oh for God sake,' because he knows I'm about to just load on him and moan for two hours."
