Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash appeared on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on Friday morning, and the Britain's Got Talent judge couldn't resist asking the couple if they were planning on having more children, to which Stacey had a cryptic five-word response.

After discussing their busy Pickle Cottage home, which the TV stars share with five of their children, Zachary, 17, Leighton, 13, six-year-old Rex, four-year-old Rose, and three-year-old Belle, Amanda cheekily asked the couple: "That's it, right? Is that it?"

Stacey seemed to hesitate slightly before saying "yeah", prompting everyone in the studio to burst into fits of giggles, before Jamie exclaimed: "Hold on a minute," while Amanda referenced the mum-of-five's "pause".

Former EastEnders actor Joe, who also shares a 19-year-old son, Harry, with his ex-partner Emma Sophocleous, then shared his views on the situation.

He explained: "Look, I'm very clear on the matter. I love kids, but, you know, it's not my decision anymore. Stacey's been pregnant for... what? Nearly 10 years! So she needs a break."

"Five times, five times! It's been 10 long years!" Stacey added. However, Jamie was quick to point out that the couple hadn't fully answered the question.

The Sort Your Life Out presenter then admitted: "You can never say never, can you?" To which Amanda, who has two children of her own, agreed, before quipping: "But, you've got a five-a-side team!" Joe then joked: "We could do with a couple of subs though!"

Amanda went on to suggest that now all the kids are at school or nursery, Joe and Stacey may miss the company of having their children around during the day, but it turns out that the former X Factor star already has a solution.

She replied: "No, we're going with, 'let's rescue animals instead' - adopt some animals!" The couple have done just that, with Stacey announcing on Instagram this week that they "are officially Pony Foster Parents".

The star shared a video of the adorable ponies, named Thumbelina and Mermaid, who were rescued by the Redwings Horse Sanctuary.

Stacey wrote in the caption of the clip: "We have a grass area sectioned off for them & also a dry area. Redwings will check in and visit us and give us all of the guidance we need to be the best pony parents for mermaid and Thumbelina.

"One of my dearest friends Lianne from the incredible Hopefield Animal sanctuary is going to be our Pony hand/extra pony Mumma. As we do not take rescuing animals lightly and want to be the absolute best foster parents we can be.

"We cant even describe how incredible it feels to be able to do this. I dreamed of rescuing animals growing up. 7 year old me would not believe where we are today. Welcome to the family girls. We love you so much already."
