CBB 2018: Kirstie Alley enters the house

Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley is a Celebrity Big Brother finalist.She joined ex-TOWIE man Dan Osborne, Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves and Corrie actor Ryan Thomas in the famous abode - but what do we know about Kirstie?

Speaking before she went in, she said: "I will put on the best show you've seen in your life."

She also told Emma Willis she was worried about remembering her housemates' names.

Kirstie said: "Unfortunately I'm really bad with names so I think I'm going to have to ask everyone to wear name tags all through the show."

She also said she'll stay in her pyjamas all day.

Kirstie arrives

Kirstie, 67, has been acting since the 80s is most well known for her role as Rebecca Howe in the sitcom Cheers, in which she won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for best actress.

She starred alongside Kelsey Grammer, Ted Danson and Danny DeVito in the show set in a bar in Boston that became a huge global hit.

Was she in Star Trek?

Her big break came slightly earlier in 1982, when she played Lieutenant JG Saavik in the science fiction film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. She also starred in some of the greatest rom-coms of the era, appearing alongside John Travolta in the Look Whos Talking films. Later, she was the lead role in Veronicas Closet, which ran for three years from 1997-2000.

Kirstie had a soft spot for Travolta and Swayze

She called Travolta "the greatest love of my life" and also claimed she and Patrick Swayze were "in love" with each other, but didn't actually have an affair.

Well, its fair to say Kirstie is a little bit...controversial with some of her beliefs. First up, shes a fully-committed member of the Scientologists, a religious group dreamt up by the late sci-fi writer L. Ron Hubbard, who believe that ancient remnants of aliens brought to earth by Xenu still reside inside humans and their souls today. Kirstie is very outspoken in the churchs beliefs, which she uses to theorise problems on Twitter .
