BBC iPlayer is set to stream one of the most successful films of the last decade for free after its broadcast later today (Tuesday, 23rd December).
The film, which was a box office sensation in 2021 and has since entertained millions more on Disney+, will be available to watch at no cost, providing a festive treat for families feeling the pinch this Christmas without the need for another streaming subscription.
Marvel's Spider-Man: No Way Home, a superhero blockbuster, will be shown on BBC One this afternoon at 3:45pm, much to the delight of comic book enthusiasts.
Following the broadcast, it will be available to stream for free on iPlayer for a limited period, offering an exciting escape for both children and adults alike.
Tom Holland reprises his iconic role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the third instalment of Marvel's thrilling trilogy. In a bid to safeguard his secret identity, he enlists the help of fellow Avenger Doctor Strange, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch, to erase everyone's memory, reports the Express.
However, when the spell goes awry, it begins to draw in Spider-Man's deadliest adversaries from other dimensions. The star-studded cast also includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina.
With an impressive critics' score of 93 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and an even higher audience rating of 97 percent, Spider-Man: No Way Home promises to deliver top-notch entertainment this holiday season.
One glowing five-star review on Letterboxd gushed: "The whole theatre ERUPTED, ya'll know when. I cant breathe this was absolutely phenomenal best film of the year.
"I WEPT when [spoiler] saved [spoiler] and was talking about [spoiler]. I swear to god I'm not okay."

Drawing parallels to blockbuster moments, another viewer likened the thrill to Avengers: Endgame, declaring: "This was maybe the greatest cinematic experience I have ever had. Not only were the shots surprisingly good for a marvel movie, but every line of comedy hit and the action was dope."
Elsewhere, an enthusiastic fan penned: "Spider-Man: No Way Home didn't meet my expectations, it EXCEEDED them. This movie is worth every excruciating moment we had to wait! The visuals, the score, the heart, the story, the villains.... talk about an EPIC creation. Tears, chills, happiness.."
Over on IMDb, the acclaim continued with one reviewer awarding maximum marks, stating: "Spider-Man: No Way Home is a phenomenal conclusion to the trilogy and Holland's best outing as Spidey yet.
"Starts off fun, safe and familiar and then becomes extremely emotional, satisfying and full of great callbacks. A love letter to all things Spider-Man."
Rounding off the praise, another devotee crowned it the "Best Movie Of The Year", enthusing: "Spider-Man No Way Home is everybody's dream, it's an exciting movie, with an epic story, and phenomenal performances...
"It's just amazing, it's incredible, it's fantastic, it's mind blowing, it's an experience that I will never forget, once crossed my mind that this one is probably even better than Avengers Endgame."
