Many parents often turn to online marketplaces to buy second-hand toys, clothes and shoes for their children. As well as helping keep costs down, using online marketplaces also helps the environment by helping to prevent waste.

However, one mum got a big shock when she saw the packaging that her son's toy turned up in. The mum, known as 'Ells' online, took to X to share photos of her Vinted package, and people couldn't believe it. Writing on the social media site, Ells said: "Sorry but can I share how I received a Vinted parcel today (toy for my son)."

The post was accompanied by two photos of a Sertraline box. Sertraline (commonly known by the brand name Zoloft) is a widely prescribed prescription antidepressant belonging to the SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) class.

It works by increasing the levels of serotonina chemical messenger in the brain that helps regulate mood, sleep, and emotion.

The post quickly went viral racking up more than 1.2million views and people couldn't contain their disbelief.

One person exclaimed: "Sorry, but this is hilarious."

While another added: "Not going to lie, Ive done this with one of them big tic tac boxes before."

A third chimed in: "This is the sort of stunt I'd pull."

While a fourth added: "Im not utilising my full Vinted potential."

After some claims that it wasn't real, Ells wrote again to confirmed it 'wasn't staged', as she added: "The pharmacist in me appreciates that they took the label off at least."

Vinted has 17 million active users in the UK alone, roughly doubling its UK numbers in just a few years. It has grown so popular that it currently has more UK customers than nearly every major primary high-street retailer, trailing only Next and Primark.

Let's hope a lot of of them use packaging that's a little bit more appropriate.
