I shop at Aldi and Sainsburys but 1 fridge item has me driving further to M&S

I typically handle most of my weekly shopping at Sainsbury's and Aldi due to their convenient location, but in the past few weeks, I've been increasingly going to Marks and Spencer for a specific item.

Everyone has their preferred supermarket, whether that's for the weekly shop or simply for a few essentials. When it comes to the weekly shop, Sainsbury's and Aldi are my usual choices as their prices are generally affordable.

I used to avoid shopping at M&S due to its reputation for expensive prices, and I wanted to sidestep any shock when I arrived at the checkout. Nevertheless, for specific items, I believe that M&S genuinely excels and justifies the extra expense.

I've previously discussed the excellent chicken quality at M&S compared to Sainsbury's and Aldi, but several months ago, I discovered another product that grabbed my attention.

While scanning the dairy aisle for my Greek yoghurt, I spotted something that sparked my curiosity.

I absolutely adore yoghurt, and at this time of year, I frequently consume it almost every day for breakfast or as a snack. I typically just opt for large tubs of the 0% fat Greek yoghurt from M&S.

Yet, I observed that M&S stocks small pots of 0% fat Greek yoghurt that arrive with an accompanying fruit compote they offer cherry, peach and a honey variant.

I purchased all three to sample, and they cost 1.20 each. My favourite amongst all of them was the peach variety.

These yoghurts are like a premium and healthier alternative to a Muller Corner. The larger compartment contains the Greek yoghurt, and the smaller compartment is packed with a beautifully sweet compote or honey.

At just 113 calories and over 12g of protein, these yoghurts are a fantastic addition to breakfast or as a satisfying snack.

The brand Fage offers a comparable product available at Sainsbury's, though it only comes with honey rather than the added fruit. Furthermore, it contains less protein per 100g and a higher calorie count.

Aldi does stock small pots of 0% fat Greek yoghurt in mango, raspberry, honey and vanilla flavours; however, the Greek yoghurt used in those particular pots wasn't quite to my taste.

If you're a fan of Greek yoghurt combined with fruit, specifically peaches and cherries, these pots are absolutely worth picking up. I got through four of them just last week.
