Something most UK supermarkets have in common is offering some sort of meal deal. The offer allows customers to pick out their own ideal meal, usually consisting of a main, such as wraps, sandwiches or a pasta pot, as well as a drink and a snack, such as a fruit pot, a bag of crisps, or a sweet treat, for cheaper than it would be to buy the items individually.

When you think of a meal deal, you might be drawn to the ever-popular Tesco offering, which is one of the cheapest meal deals on the market, at 3.85 if you have a Clubcard, or 4.25 if you don't. But now, one shopper claims to have found the best value meal deal out there - and it comes from Morrisons.

Taking to Reddit, the woman went on to share what they'd gotten in their 3.75 meal deal, which left people blown away. "DIY pasta salad with cheese and bacon bits, G zillionaire cheesecake, Jimmys cookie butter iced coffee," she revealed, sharing a photo of the items in question.

The pasta salad wasn't a pre-packed item, but rather created in the supermarket's salad bar, with a medium serving on offer as part of the chain's usual meal deal.

While the salad bar has a large selection of vegetables, meat, pasta, and more to pick from, this shopper had opted to fill hers to the brim with a creamy pasta salad, before adding bacon bits to top it off, creating a filling main item.

She had then opted for the G Zillionaire cheesecake as a snack, which usually costs 3.95 for a pack of two, as well as the bottled iced coffee for a drink.

People quickly praised the meal deal for being good value, as many were amazed to learn that the supermarket's salad bar was part of the offer.

"Today I learned that the DIY salads are part of a meal deal, this changes everything for me!" one person commented.

Someone else said: "Morrisons salad is the ultimate meal deal hack."

"The pasta salad pots are to die for," another user wrote. "Always what I get, actually.

"I'm going to go to Morrisons literally right now and get this exact meal deal (with different pasta, maybe but still the same thing) cuz it looks lush. Thank you for blessing my eyes. 10/10."

To this, the poster replied: "Value is incredible. I couldnt even finish it. Had to put half in the fridge for later. Unfortunately they didnt have any of the pesto pasta which is my favourite."

"Morrisons?! WOW! that's fabulous for the price," another person wrote.

However, someone else went on to say: "Would have been better if you filled the tub. There's still room for another few scoops in there!"
