Aldi shoppers could pick up an item that might trick people into thinking they've spent nearly 40. Instead, it's the latest must-have alternative, which costs a fraction of the price.
The supermarkets sell-out Travel Flask with Handle (5.99) will return to the infamous middle aisle. Many quickly compared it in style and quality to the viral Stanley Cup, which can set people back a small fortune.
Now, to offer an added option, Aldi is launching a new Mini Travel Flask with Handle (4.99) in March. It was described as the "perfect option for those looking for a smaller alternative."
Both feature a sleek stainless-steel design, double-wall insulation, and a multi-function sipper suitable for use with or without a straw. The compact version holds 580ml, while the bigger version goes over 1L (1.15L).
With a cost of less than a fiver, it's clear why people might want to packet the difference instead of chasing after a Stanley Cup. A similar-looking Stanley Quencher H2.0 Flowstate costs 40, saving Aldi shoppers just over 35. Aldis popular 1.15L version will be back in new spring colours, including pink, orange, cream, and teal, that match the mini option.
With those savings, you could add to your cup with Aldi's Flask Snack Tray (1.99), which is designed to fit both mini and full-sized travel flasks. Now, shoppers can enjoy cool drinks and a variety of their favourite treats all in one place.
Shoppers looking to get their hands on the latest must-haves from Aldi will need to be quick. As with all Specialbuys, once theyre gone, theyre gone. Aldis Travel Flasks will be available in stores on March 2. The full line-up of available special items is online here.
Those who cannot get their hands on the Aldi version might want to head over to B&M where similar cups are also going viral online. People compared the printed cups that cost 3.50 to the popular Stanley Cup - but without the major price tag.
The leak-proof 550ml cups come with a pink lid with a built-in straw. One has a pale white background and is adorned with lots of flowing pink bows, while the other is the same pink as the lid but covered in small daisy patterns.
If you were to buy a genuine Stanley cup elsewhere, the closest you're going to get in size is the Iceflow Flip Straw Tumbler, which holds 900ml. However, despite holding more, its 43 price tag might make B&M's option a little more appealing.
