Home Bargains is selling a fast-absorbing moisturiser "perfect for sensitive or eczema-prone skin" for 3.49 instead of 14.99. The retailer has discounted The Inkey List 10% Urea Moisturiser 50ml, which has long been popular with shoppers.

As The Inkey List explains: "Urea is used in a range of skin care products to tackle concerns of dry, rough, bumpy, or itchy skin. Widely used in dermatology, Urea is both a humectant, like Hyaluronic Acid, and a keratolytic.

"Meaning that it not only draws moisture from the environment to the skin, but it also helps to slough off dead skin, by softening the outer most layer of the skin, known as the stratum corneum." The Inkey List's Urea Moisturiser is highly regarded by many customers, and it has hundreds of glowing reviews online.

Reviewing The Inkey List's range on YouTube, board-certified dermatologist Dr Jenny Liu said: "If you have more dry skin or you're looking for a more nourishing moisturiser, then you must check out their Dry and Rough Skin Solutions 10% Urea Moisturiser. I am obsessed with this product... Urea offers great hydration, so your skin is going to feel more smooth and hydrated."

On The Inkey List's website, a shopper added: "I have had eczema on my face since I was 12, I've always struggled with managing it, since using this my skin has completely cleared, of course I still have flare ups when I'm stressed but this calms my skin within 10 minutes of using it, it's brilliant!"

A second revealed: "I used this after coming back from holiday, where cold weather really dried my skin out. The instant hydration was a life saver, and with continued use my skin was plump and glowy. A dry skin must!"

Meanwhile, another customer shared: "I am not the person to write reviews BUT felt I had to regards to this brilliant moisturiser. I am old - 74 and have horrendously dry skin and chapped lips. I have tried all moisturisers both expensive and inexpensive all to no avail and then along comes this amazing stuff, I use it along with Inkeys serums and I can honestly say that my skin has improved more than I could ever had imagined."

Elsewhere, on LookFantastic's website, a reviewer wrote: "Love this moisturiser, it's perfect for dry skin. I don't find it sticky or greasy, my skin feels so soft." Someone added: "I purchased this cream from the recommendation of my doctor.

"I have Actinic keratosis and before starting topical chemotherapy, I was told to use a 10% urea cream. After reading reviews, I chose this one. Its very nourishing and seems to have reduced the size of the extremely dry patches of AK."

That said, it's important to recognise everyone's skin is different and not all reviewers shared positive feedback or results. If you have any concerns about your skin or want a second opinion before trying a new product, speak to your GP.
