A number of urgent product recall notices have been issued this week as customers have been warned of the dangers. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued a series of food recalls for a popular dessert and meat.

Items have been pulled from shelves and customers have been urged not to eat the affected products due to a Listeria risk and potential presence of plastic. Meanwhile, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has also issued a series of recalls.

A popular Disney Frozen item has been recalled by TK Maxx, while another range of children's toys have been pulled from sale over an asbestos risk. Here is a roundup of the recalls this week.

A Disney Frozen-themed bath bomb set sold in TK Maxx and Homesense has been recalled due to a "serious" chemical risk. The item was sold in stores from March to June 2024, with all batch numbers affected.

The risk comes from the Elsa shower puff included in the set, which contains a high level of phthalates. The OPSS said: "Phthalates may harm the health of children, possibly causing damage to the reproductive system. The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008 or the General Product Safety Regulations 2005."

Its barcode is 3666085950462, and the TK Maxx and Homesense receipt code is 768373. "We recommend that consumers stop using the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children," the OPSS added.

More children's toys have been recalled this week due to asbestos fears. The HGL Stretchy Sand Monster Truck, Scrunchems Stretchies Sleepy Dino Toy and HGL Stretchy Sand Pig have been recalled from customers.

They have been distributed by One For Fun Limited, and anyone with them must stop using "immediately". The toys should be disposed of in general household waste or returned to a store specified by the retailer covered in a double bag.

British Bresaola

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued a notice that The Curing Barn was recalling its British Bresaola. British Bresaola is a premium, air-dried beef charcuterie.

However, it was discovered to contain Listeria. The affected product carries the code WLRC J1Z2 0WD0 J85J, comes in a pack size of 60g and a use-by date of June 10, 2026.

The FSA said: "Symptoms caused by Listeria monocytogenes can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea.

"However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis." It added: "If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to where you bought it from for a full refund."

Tesco Finest Summer Edition Chocolate Affogato Dessert has been recalled as it may contain pieces of plastic. The affected product comes in a 538g pack size and carries best-before dates of up to and including April 2027.

The FSA said: "If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to any Tesco store for a full refund. For further information, please visit Tesco's contact Tesco page at: tesco.com/help/contact."
