Shoppers looking for a wallet-friendly lighting option that could be ideal for their home may want to visit their nearest Lidl store. The supermarket, which has over 1,000 locations UK-wide, is selling a lamp it claims is "long life" and "glare-free".

For many, Lidl has become one of the go-to destinations for affordable groceries, but it's the iconic 'Middle of Lidl' aisle that continues to catch attention. It boasts a selection of discounted homeware including decor, kitchen accessories and DIY tools that rotates twice weekly.

The LIVARNO LED Floor Lamp is one of the latest additions, and it could prove popular with customers. Retailing at a more-than-affordable 14.99, the light can be as tall as 166cm thanks to its adjustable height, offering huge potential for lighting for any room.

Plus, to suit a wide array of interiors and colour schemes, you can choose between white or black which could bring added versatility. Please note, it is available for in-store collection only.

Describing the product, Lidl said: "Pleasant, glare-free lighting for crafting, reading or working, flexible gooseneck for adjustable positioning, energy-saving and long-life LED module with warm white light. 4-stage touch dimmer on the lamp head, surface-friendly base and instructions included.

"Operating voltage: 220-240V~ 50/ 60Hz, total power consumption: max 6W, height (with lamp head fully extended): 166cm. Lamp head length: 28cm, base diameter: 21cm, cable length: 1.8m, 3-year warranty."

It bears a striking resemblance to premium alternatives at other major retailers like B&Q. The retailer is stocking the all-too-similar Double Tube LED Floor Lamp at 54.99 - that's nearly four times more expensive than the Lidl option.

"This flexible floor lamp is ideal for the modern home," reads the product description on the B&Q website. "It has two independently adjustable tubes containing built in led bulbs providing 700 Lumens brightness over your work area. Ideally suited for art, craftwork, as well as reading."

It's hard to tell the difference between the two other than the price. What is different, however, is that shoppers can order it online and have it delivered straight to their door - visit the B&Q website for further information.
