Fire crews have raced to the scene of a huge fire which broke out next door to an M&S store in Somerset this evening.
Residents in the area have been warned to keep their doors and windows closed as smoke billows into the air.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has dispatched as many as ten fire engines and other appliances to tackle the flames at the abandoned building on Kingsway this afternoon.
Fire engines from Clyst St George, Taunton, Street, Wellington, Yeovil, Castle Cary, Frome, Martock, Shepton Mallet and Wells fire stations were sent to the scene following reports shortly before 3pm today.
Pictures show the three story warehouse building well alight as fire crews battle for bring the incident under control, Somerset Live reports.
"In a statement the fire service said: "We currently have eight pumping appliances plus special appliances at a three-storey derelict building fire on Kingsway, Frome.
"The building is fully involved in fire and crews are using three main jets to tackle the fire. Cordons have been put in place due to the structural instability of the building.
"Please keep your windows and doors closed if you live nearby due to the smoke."
In an update just before 5pm the fire service added: "Two water carriers and two aerial ladder platforms have been mobilised to the scene. Appliances and officers are attending from our neighbouring fire and rescue services in Avon and Dorset and Wiltshire."
