The FIFA World Cup will kick off on Thursday and football fans from around the world are making their way to the United States to be a part of the iconic event - but they may not be prepared for just how much they'll have to fork out for a drink.
Raymond James stadium, in Tampa, Florida, hosted England's warm-up game with New Zealand on Saturday, June 6.
Fans were shocked by the cost of drinks at the stadium - with a standard pint costing fans a whopping 12.50.
One supporter shared an photograph of the bar menu, which featured an $18 premium large beer, about 13.50. A single hard seltzer carbonated water, alcohol and fruit flavourings at around 5% ABV set fans back $20.50, more than 15.
The Sun reported the following beverage prices:
One fan has called the cost "over-priced" and "greedy".
Another said: "It probably doesnt include tax and the HUGE tip they will want on top."
An American weighed in on the argument, saying that while price gouging was normal at a lot of games in the US, this was "beyond what even I'd expect".
The Three Lions went on to beat New Zealand 1-0 in the warm-up match.
England will play its first World Cup match against Croatia on June 17 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which has a capacity of 80,000 spectators.
