  2. Reports of White House meeting denied: Despite rumours suggesting Infantino sought a call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to salvage his position, Mirror Football understands that no such meeting was scheduled. US Assistant Secretary of State for Global Public Affairs Dylan Johnson publicly denied claims of Infantino reaching out to Donald Trump's Cabinet members.
  3. Wales retracts re-election support: The Football Association of Wales became one of the first governing bodies to officially withdraw its support for Infantinos re-election bid. Welsh football leadership cited growing concerns over governance and the strategic direction of FIFA following the commercial proposals.
  4. England withdraws endorsement: England quickly joined Wales by withdrawing its formal endorsement of Infantino for the next presidential cycle. The FA expressed deep concerns regarding the recent decision-making process and the resulting damage to global football's reputation.

  6. Donald Trump support: The Telegraph have reported that US President Donald Trump will support Infantino and will do everything possible to ensure the FIFA President stays in the job.
  7. Opposition plans emerge: Another report from The Times has claimed that UEFA, CONCACAF and the Asian Football Confederation have plans in place to 'paralyse FIFA' in the event that Infantino continues with his re-election bid as President, effectively forcing him out. The report also claims that FIFAs opponents are prepared to set up their own rival international competitions.
