Less than two weeks remain before Manchester United begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign. Michael Carrick has already added to his squad but further business is expected.

Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow all arrived in mid-July, with a number of youngsters following. Most recently, Colombian midfielder Cristian Orozco arrived from Fortaleza in his homeland.

United have also brought in 38million for Rasmus Hojlund, with the striker completing a permanent move to Napoli. The Dane is one of a number of senior figures to depart, along with the likes of Casemiro and Jadon Sancho.

There looks to be more to come, though, including a newly agreed deal which shows how United's business has changed. Here are our latest lines from Old Trafford.

Lucumi decision needed

United are running out of time to decide on whether to meet Bologna's asking price for Jhon Lucumi. The Colombian defender is expected to command a fee in the region of 21m and has no shortage of suitors.

Lucumi, a centre-back, is also wanted by Juventus. However, reports in Italy suggest United or Premier League rivals Chelsea could steal a march by agreeing a sum Juve have so far been reluctant to pay.

Corriere di Bologna report that United are among the clubs considering paying Bologna's valuation and are "capable" of doing so. He's said to only want to leave for a 'big club', giving the Red Devils an advantage.

The 28-year-old has played more than 100 Serie A games for Bologna, some of them in the same team as Joshua Zirkzee before the forward moved to Old Trafford. He was also part of Colombia's World Cup squad as they reached the round of 16 under Nestor Lorenzo.

He's been eyed up after a 60m move for Lewis Hall was shut down. Newcastle United are adamant he'll be staying put after several key departures already this summer.

Vitek clauses speak volumes

Goalkeeper Radek Vitek has officially left United for Middlesbrough. The Czech youngster has set the Championship side back 7m but United have covered their backs if he boosts his reputation on Teesside.

According to the MEN, the deal - which could rise to 14m with add-ons - includes a buy-back clause and matching rights. There is also a 35 per cent sell-on clause, potentially giving the club the kind of boost they have missed out on in the past when players have kicked on after leaving.

"The mission is clear: to go to the Premier League," Vitek said after joining Kim Hellberg's side. I think everyone at the club has that mindset, and I want the same thing. Now I just cant wait to get started.
