Luke Littler lands huge Cheltenham Festival bet days after darts star wins 120k

Luke Littler enjoyed a massive four-figure victory on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival. 'The Nuke' was back for more action at the renowned racecourse, having been seen relishing his time with girlfriend Faith Millar and darts competitors Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old triumphed in the first race of the day, pocketing a whopping 2,500. He shared an Instagram story showing he'd backed 9/1 winner King Rasko Grey in the Turners Novices' Hurdle.

The two-time world champion wagered 250 on the race and reaped 2,500 in return, as King Rasko Grey edged out Act Of Innocence (10/1), Zeus Power (50/1) and Soldier Reeves (150/1) to the post.

Meanwhile, online tipster Pro Sports Advice (Robert Heneghan) had an even larger windfall standing next to Littler, netting a colossal 50,000 after staking 5,000. Both bets were successful, with Littler spotted applauding and cheering from the stands.

As King Rasko Grey crossed the finish line, Littler embraced those nearby, whilst Pro Sports Advice jumped for joy.

Littler's win followed Humphries taking Heneghan's advice, earning 3,250 from the first race of the festival's opening day, having placed a 1,000 bet on 9/4 favourite Old Park Star in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle. 'Cool Hand', seen celebrating with Littler, donated his winnings to charity.

Littler and Humphries currently lead the PDC Order of Merit with over 4million in prize money shared between them. And it was 'the Nuke' who pocketed the biggest cheque after collecting 120,000 for his UK Open triumph on Sunday.

The teenage sensation defeated Damon Heta, Kevin Doets, Gary Anderson, Danny Noppert, Josh Rock and James Wade on his way to retaining the Minehead crown for a second consecutive year. The victory arrived just three days after Littler secured his maiden Premier League night of the campaign in Cardiff.

'The Nuke' appears to have discovered blistering form, having strung together nine consecutive victories, and he's aiming to extend that run heading into Thursday's Premier League clash in Nottingham.

"I had a little dry spell, but I think I can say I'm back," Littler said. "The form hasn't gone my way in the Premier League, so to win in Cardiff meant a lot.

"I don't think many people expected me to win in the Premier League on Thursday, and I don't think many people expected me to come to the UK Open and win.

"I played well in patches, missed a lot of doubles, but if I can win major titles not playing my best, what can I do playing my best?"

Littler faces Gerwyn Price in his Premier League quarter-final encounter on Thursday.
